Junior Modern soloists Olivia and Jasmine took first and second as well as second for their Duet. Senior dancers took first for their lyrical and ballet groups and the standout group was Tap comp who took first in a very large section of cabaret dances.
Gloucester Festival was our best since we started attending the competition, with 3 Novice campions crowned – Lauren (Inter), Xander (Junior) and Anna (Senior), placings for our senior ballet group with Castle and Junior Lyrical with Lost boy. Gloucester Festival Results 2018
Even though we only took a small team mostly of junior dancers due to the schools half terms being different this year we still had one of our most successful competitions to date with:
4 x Golds
2 x Silvers
and 5 x 4th’s
Lottie Ford received the Junior Novice Cup for the most promising dancer, the Junior Street Team came 3rd and the Inter Street Team came 2nd.
TEAGAN MELVILLE and OLIVIA SHEPPARD – Qualify for Regional Heats of the All England Dance Competition, both senior competition dancers qualified at Worcester Dance Festival 2018.
Also very exciting news for Teagan is that she will be attending Laine Theatre Arts in Septemebr on a 100% Scholarship, and performing in London’s WestEnd as the young dancer is David Walliams Gangsta Granny after being invited to join the company after her brilliant performance at the Courtyard Theatre in Hereford when it toured the UK earlier this year. We are very proud of all Teagan’s achievements and her dedication to achieving her goal of going on to train in Performing Arts professionally and look forward to hearing all about her future successes.
